After semi-hibernation for much of the summer and a brief burst of film watching in early October, I am now about to resume my normal film viewing/reviewing activities, including the resumption of my contributions to the 1001 Movies to See Before You Die Blog Club. Having recently returned from Amsterdam, I also had the good fortune to visit the new EYE Film Institute in Amsterdam – the “Dutch centre for film culture and heritage” which “aims to foster a viable film industry in the Netherlands and to promote Dutch film at home and abroad”. What a wonderful resource to have in one’s city! (Klaus Ming November 2012).
