Director: Darren Aronofsky; Cast: Russell Crowe, Jennifer Connelly, Ray Winstone, Emma Watson, Logan Lerman, Anthony Hopkins
In his re-imagining of Noah’s Ark story, Aronofsky brings little of interest to one of Christianity’s tallest tales. While visually appealing at times, the computer generated images of the animals are oddly unnatural, though the flood waters are some of the best yet put to film. Filled with unlikable and largely forgettable characters, save the rock monsters, I was secretly hoping that Optimus Prime would eventually reveal himself as the “creator” in this dark fantasy about an angry man who fails to fulfill the wishes of his vengeful god (Klaus Ming July 2014).

A very strange sort of movie, but it’s one that I totally expected from Aronofsky. Which is why I liked it so very much. Good review Klaus.
I do like Aronofsky’s films, which i why I expected more.
