Schindler’s List (1993)

US 197m, B&W / Colour
Director: Steven Spielberg; Cast: Liam Neeson, Ben Kingsley,Ralph Fiennes, Caroline Goodall, Jonathan Sagall, Embeth Davidtz

schindlersArguably Spielberg’s finest film, Schindler’s List is the story of Oskar Schindler, a German businessman who profited from forced labour in Poland during WWII, but whose conscience, bravery and fortune were employed to save more than a thousand Polish-Jews from the Holocaust. Though Schindler’s motivations remain somewhat speculative, this is one of cinema’s most tragic and disturbing historical dramas that helped refocus attention of the atrocities of the Holocaust for modern audiences (Klaus Ming December 2014).

I saw it in theaters when in came out and hadn’t re-watched until now. I might be ready to re-watch in another 10 years or so.
