Halloween (1978)

US 91m, Colour
Director: John Carpenter; Cast: Donald Pleasence, Jamie Lee Curtis, P. J. Soles, Nancy Loomis

halloweenHalloween is the story of an escaped psychiatric patient named Michael Myers who murdered his sister at six years of age. Returning to his hometown, he stalks a teenaged girl and her friends, while his doctor, tries to intervene. A slow building suspenseful horror movie, Halloween is one of the original slasher films that helped popularize the genre, though it contains surprisingly little violence and is more of a suspense filled thriller, than many of the films that it inspired (Klaus Ming February 2015).
