The Rapture is a tiresome fantasy depicting the biblical end of days through the eyes of a young telephone operator who casts off her predilection for group sex after God speaks to her. In presenting the biblical story literally, the film’s characters face judgement day in this ugly and mean-spirited story that takes itself seriously and provides a twist ending that is both ridiculous and underwhelming (Klaus Ming March 2015).
