The Martian is a captivating science fiction adventure film based on the 2011 Andy Weir novel of the same name about an astronaut stranded on Mars. Left for dead by his crew, efforts on earth to mount a rescue mission only begin after a long-range telescope picks up his activities on the planet’s otherwise desolate surface. A slow-moving and thoughtful film, The Martian also has many comedic human elements that can be attributed to the main character’s dark sense of humor (Klaus Ming October 2015).

Good review Klaus. A very fun movie, but also an exciting one that kept me interested just about the whole way through.
