Heat (1995)

US 170m, Colour
Director: Michael Mann; Cast: Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Val Kilmer; Tom Sizemore, Diane Venora, Amy Brenneman, Ashley Judd, Mykelti Williamson, Wes Studi, Ted Levine, Jon Voight, Danny Trejo, Natalie Portman

heatHeat is a star-studded crime melodrama about an obsessively dedicated veteran detective who pursues a career criminal. Amidst Lieutenant Hanna’s hunt for McCauley and his gang of murderous thieves are their respective personal relationships which are clearly included to provide character motivation and to feed the plot. Though their personal relationships accomplish these tasks, they do so in a drawn-out manner which detracts from an otherwise engaging action film (Klaus Ming November 2015).

If you didn’t have it set up by the time you watched this, I used to use the heist scene to test and marvel in any surround sound systems I set up.
