Jurassic World (2015)

US 124m, Colour
Director: Colin Trevorrow; Cast: Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Vincent D’Onofrio, Ty Simpkins, Nick Robinson, Omar Sy, B. D. Wong, Irrfan Khan

jurassic_worldThe fourth Jurassic Park movie is much like its “star”, Indominus rex, a genetically-modified creature which was created to recapture the thrill and excitement of previous dinosaur movies. As a measure of success, Jurassic World’s box office probably exceeded all expectations with its nearly $1.7 billion dollar in business. Despite Jurassic World’s astonishing popularity, this is an uninspired movie filled with ridiculously clichéd characters that will most certainly result in the continuation of the franchise which has nothing left to offer – though I expect we’ll soon see raptors fighting for freedom in a theater near you! (Klaus Ming December 2015).

I’m a dinosaur fan so I’d give this a 3 star rating, but I agree with everything else you wrote. Dinosaurs vs Aliens!

I hear ya, I really enjoyed the original JP, and while this one had lots of dinosaur action, it lacked the charm and the wit that the first movie had. One thing that i didn’t have room for in the 100 words synopsis was the unlikable kid characters which i was hoping would get eaten.
