Jean Harlow (1911 – 1937)

jean-harlowJean Harlow’s short, but illustrious career as a screen siren began in the late 1920s with a string of small uncredited roles, and was first noticed in Hell’s Angels (1930). Despite her tragic death at the young age of 26 during the filming of Saratoga (1937), Harlow the original “Blonde Bombshell” had starred in a number of hit movies. Best known for her appearances opposite Clark Gable, Harlow appears in two films from the 1001 list, including: City Light’s (1931) (as an extra) and The Public Enemy (1931) (Klaus Ming January 2016).
