Reversal of Fortune (1990)

US 111m, Colour
Director: Barbet Schroeder; Cast: Jeremy Irons, Glenn Close, Ron Silver

Reversal of FortuneReversal of Fortune is an engaging courtroom crime drama based on lawyer Alan Dershowitz’s appeal of Claus von Bülow’s conviction for the attempted murder of his wife Sunny. Despite the seemingly overwhelming guilt of his client, the detailed dissection of the evidence offered by Dershowitz and his associates eventually leads to von Bülow’s acquittal. The story is told in a series of flashbacks, which like a puzzle, are cleverly pieced together to cast sufficient doubt on the original conviction (Klaus Ming February 2016).

Somehow i’d not seen this one before either – and had forgotten that is was based on an actual case.

Plenty of twists, turns and interpretations make this movie a lot better. Nice review.
