Body Heat (1981)

US 113m, Colour
Director: Lawrence Kasdan; Cast: William Hurt, Kathleen Turner, Richard Crenna, Ted Danson, J.A. Preston, Mickey Rourke, Kim Zimmer

body heatA sweaty homage to film-noir, Body Heat is an erotic thriller inspired by the premise of Double Indemnity (1944), in which the femme fatale convinces her lover to murder her husband so that they can be together, and of course, inherit the dead man’s money. As an update of a predictable and well-worn premise, Body Heat delivers a few new plot twists and some unexpected humor (Klaus Ming March 2016).
