Come Drink with Me (1966)Come Drink with Me is a colourful and finely choreographed martial arts action hero film set during the Ming Dynasty about the rescue of a general’s son from bandits who wish to trade him for their captured leader. The rescue attempt by a female fighter known as the Golden Swallow is assisted by a Kung Fu master, disguised as a drunk beggar who acts as her secret protector. As inspiration to films such as Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000), Come Drink with Me is a beautifully appointed and well-acted film (Klaus Ming March 2016).
