Pierrot le Fou (1965)

France 110m, Colour
Director: Jean-Luc Godard; Cast:Anna Karina, Jean-Paul Belmondo

Pierrot le Fou (1965)Pierrot le Fou is a pseudo-intellectual musical comedy about an unhappily married man who reunites with his arms-dealing ex-girlfriend on an existential cross-country road trip. Their journey to nowhere is driven by self referential dialogue which is eventually a bore, even to themselves. Parting ways under strained circumstances, they are briefly reunited in the later part of this absurd and often improvised exploration of cinema and art (Klaus Ming March 2016).
