Flirting with social commentary on the notions of contemporary fame, the long-awaited sequel to the really, really ridiculously silly Zoolander (2001) continues with Derek and Hansel as they uncover who is murdering pop stars of the world. Returning to the madness, there are plenty of call backs to the first film and a few inspired additions such as Derek’s “old” ad for Aqua Vitae. Full of unexpected cameos and plenty of corny laughs, this sequel may not for many fans, live up to their memories of the original production (Klaus Ming May 2016).
