Lo and Behold, Reveries of the Connected World (2016)

US 98m, Colour
Director: Werner Herzog; Cast: Werner Herzog, Bob Kahn, Elon Musk, Sebastian Thrun, Ted Nelson

lo-and-beholdLo and Behold is a ten part history of the internet and all things connected to it. Offering both historical perspective and a glimpse into the future, this is an interesting and entertaining film that examines a wide range of social, economic and technical issues. From Herzog’s questions and commentary throughout, I get the feeling that he is in awe of the technology, yet loathes how it is used. Often comedic and from left field, Herzog’s voice over is as always entertaining and often enlightening (Klaus Ming September 2016).
