The Bird with the Crystal Plumage (1970)

Italy/West Germany 96m, Colour
Director: Dario Argento; Cast: Tony Musante, Suzy Kendall, Enrico Maria Salerno

crystal_plumageThe Bird with the Crystal Plumage is a giallo genre crime fiction thriller about an American writer living in Rome who witnesses an attempted murder that is linked to a number of other homicides. Detained by police, he becomes involved in the case to the extent where his own life is threatened. This is a suspenseful and stylized sadomasochistic themed Jack-the-Ripper styled film with a twist ending that is genuinely surprising (Klaus Ming October 2016).
