Director: Louis Malle; Cast: Gaspard Manesse, Raphael Fejtö, Philippe Morier-Genoud, Francine Racette
Goodbye Children is an intimate autobiographical film based on Louis Malle’s memories and experiences as a child while attending a Catholic boarding school that attempted to hide Jewish students from the Nazi occupiers of France. This is a realistic and quiet tragedy that is never overly sentimental, and yet contains deep and complex emotions of friendship, betrayal and guilt (Klaus Ming October 2016).
Plus it gave Tarantino the title for his first film. 🙂
Yeah, I read that – a strange story.
