Little Sister (2016)

US 91m, Colour
Director: Zach Clark; Cast: Addison Timlin, Ally Sheedy, Keith Poulson, Peter Hedges, Barbara Crampton

little-sisterLittle Sister is an oddly nostalgic and dark comedic drama about Colleen Lunsford, an estranged young woman who goes home to visit her badly injured brother who recently returned from the Iraq War. As a former goth and would-be nun who has yet to take her vows, Colleen attempts to reconnect with her brother and family over the course of a week. Little Sister also provides a commentary on the failure of Colleen’s self-absorbed parents, whose misguided intentions and naive parenting skills, failed both themselves and their misguided progeny (Klaus Ming November 2016).
