Rush is a thrilling recreation of the 1976 Formula 1 race season in which James Hunt narrowly won the championship over Niki Lauda who suffered extensive burns over much of his body during a horrific crash. Though minor liberties were taken to dramatize their story, this is probably the most realistic motor racing film ever made and was as exciting as it was interesting in its depiction of two men whose very different approaches in life led to success in their sport (Klaus Ming December 2016).
