The Girl with All the Gifts (2016)

UK 111m, Colour
Director: Colm McCarthy; Cast: Gemma Arterton, Paddy Considine, Glenn Close, Sennia Nanua

girl-with-all-the-giftsAn interesting post-apocalyptic zombie film, for at least the first 30 minutes, The Girl with All the Gifts drifts into all too familiar territory by the halfway point, and crashes and burns in the films final scenes. Feeling like a sequel to 28 Weeks Later, a special “girl” held at an army base could mean salvation, or the beginning of a zombie race (Klaus Ming January 2017).
