moonlight_2016Moonlight is an arresting drama based on Tarell Alvin McCraney’s play entitled “In Moonlight Black Boys Look Blue” about a withdrawn and bullied boy. Raised by an abusive drug addicted mother, Chiron takes refuge with a local drug dealer and his girlfriend. A poignant story told in three parts, we follow Chiron’s lonely struggle with his identity through his early childhood, his teenage years, and as an adult where he remakes himself on the few experiences his childhood offered (Klaus Ming February 2017).
