The Survivalist (2015)

UK 103m, Colour
Director: Stephen Fingleton; Cast: Mia Goth, Martin McCann, Olwen Fouéré

The Survivalist is a post apocalyptic thriller about a lonely man hidden away in a remote cabin who is found by a mother and daughter looking for food and shelter. Reluctantly taking them in, the Survivalist finds his precarious existence threatened by his desires, unwelcome visitors, and by his own past. A grim but engaging story, and a finalist for “Definitely NOT a Date Movie”,  The Survivalist is a compact and thoughtful provoking film (Klaus Ming July 2017).
