The re-imagining of the King Arthur legend by Guy Ritchie is a mess from the start. Armed with the “power” of Excalibur, the film’s reluctant hero might sound like a good idea, but it fails to be interesting largely because of a thin plot and visuals reminiscent of a video game. Despite the fast paced dialogue and stylized editing, there is little of note in this chaotic medieval affair (Klaus Ming August 2017).
