Get Out (2017)

US 103m, Colour
Director: Jordan Peele; Cast: Daniel Kaluuya, Allison Williams, Bradley Whitford, Caleb Landry Jones, Stephen Root, Keith Stanfield,Catherine Keener

Get Out is a dark comedic horror film about a young white woman who invites her black boyfriend to visit her parents at their country estate. As the only African-American, besides two oddly behaved servants, Chris begins to feel increasingly uncomfortable after meeting the “neighbours” who take a creepy personal interest in him. This is a clever and funny film that takes a good many unexpected turns in its exploration of racism, slavery and the power of the TSA (Klaus Ming August 2017).

Yes, only here – though they are automatically pushed to my twitter feed and an old Instagram account (I think?). Been some time since i checked.

That’s a pity! You manage to summarize the movie’s essence in just few phrases and that’s a rare quality. 🙂

One of my favorites of the year, so far.

@ Mr. Bobinsky – thanks for the kind words. I try to write just enough to 1. help me remember what I watched, and 2. remind myself whether I liked it or not 🙂
