Green Room (2015)

US 95m, Colour
Director: Jeremy Saulnier; Cast: Anton Yelchin, Imogen Poots, Alia Shawkat, Joe Cole, Callum Turner, Patrick Stewart

A graphically violent thriller, Green Room is a gruesome story of the members of a punk band who witness a murder scene at a club for neo-Nazi skinheads. Realizing that their fate is already sealed, they search for any way to survive. An inventive thriller, Green Room is an intense film that curiously failed to generate much interest at the box office (Klaus Ming August 2017).

This is an excellent film. I really enjoyed it. I would say it didn’t generate much box office is because no one knew about it until it was already gone from theaters. Such a shame.

It’s a shame that marketing plays such a big tole. Theaters don’t give movies a chance for audiences to find them these days.

I loved the hell out of this film, although I can’t say I’m anxious to watch it again any time soon. It’s too damn intense for frequent viewing.

Though a little too graphic at times, I really enjoyed it as well, lots of tension – although i’m not sure that it would be as effective a second time through.
