Catch Me If You Can (2002)

US 141m, Colour
Director: Steven Spielberg; Cast: Leonardo DiCaprio, Tom Hanks, Christopher Walken, Nathalie Baye, Amy Adams, Martin Sheen

Catch Me if You Can is the remarkable real-life story of Frank Abagnale, a young con-man and forger who passed himself off as a commercial pilot, a doctor and a lawyer. A highly entertaining film, DiCaprio and Hanks give masterful performances in this quintessential cat and mouse game. By portraying Abagnale as a charismatic individual in a sympathetic light, Spielberg effectively heightened both the film’s comedic elements and the thrill of the chase (Klaus Ming December 2017).
