It Comes at Night is a post-apocalyptic film where little is said about the events that lead up to the collapse of humanity. Rather, the story is focused on a small group of desperate people whose fate seems inevitable. Similar to The Survivalist (2015), though perhaps more predictable, this is a dark and compact psychological thriller that borders on the horror genre (Klaus Ming December 2017).
