Christopher Robin (2018)

US 104m, Colour
Director: Marc Forster; Cast: Ewan McGregor, Hayley Atwell, Jim Cummings, Brad Garrett

Christopher Robin is a delightful fantasy that seamlessly blends live action and animation from Milne and Shepard’s book: Winnie-the-Pooh. A heartwarming and beautifully crafted film, Christopher Robin, now a busy businessman, rediscovers his childhood friends from Hundred Acre Wood. In an era where visual effects are seemingly limitless, it might be easy to overlook the animation of “simple” stuffed animals that are brought to life in this film. Under close scrutiny, Pooh and company are arguably more impressive than a superhero battle, or even a car that transforms into a robot (Klaus Ming January 2019).
