Judy is a compassionate biographical drama that recounts Judy Garland’s life just months before her death. Utilising flashbacks to her years in the Hollywood movie system, we see the pressures that were exerted on her at an early age which led to addiction, a broken family, and ultimately her untimely demise. Beautifully portrayed by Zellweger, Judy is a melancholy tribute to one of the 20th century’s most talented and beloved entertainers (Klaus Ming January 2020).
