Triangle of Sadness is a wonderfully absurd black comedy aboard a luxury yacht that tests the power and authority of its privileged passengers. Bordering on slapstick comedy during a Captain’s Dinner gone horribly wrong, Östlund eventually dumps the upper class onto an island where they are subjected to a new authority structure. The film’s ambiguous final scene is a great conversation starter that provides a conclusion for rich or poor alike (Klaus Ming November 2022).
