1001 Movies
I’m a professional archaeologist with interests in popular culture and film. I purchased “1001 Movies you must see before you die” back in October 2008 and am working my way through it. While not slavishly adhering to the list, I am using it as a general guide in an attempt to educate myself in the history of cinema and to watch a few good movies along the way. The mini-reviews are thumbnail sketches of my initial thoughts and feelings about the movies I watch and are intended as a personal reminder and are posted here simply for the fun of it. Please feel free to make any comments on the movies themselves, or even better, make recommendations for further viewing and reading.
